We welcome you to this forum which is designed to answer questions
newcomers to Eclipse might have.
- It is not a meeting or gathering place.
- It is not a place for general programming questions.
- It is not customary to announce your arrival in the forum.
- Feel free to ask your first question (and subsequent questions) without fanfare.
- Most of your audience and the people responding are volunteering their own time.
Before asking your question, please read all of the "STICKY" topics at the top of the list. Also search for topics that might be related before asking.
We hope we can otherwise help you.
Unsure about some acronyms or technical terms? They might be in the Glossary: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Glossary

C/C++ developers
Note that if your question is about using C/C++ in Eclipse (finding a
compiler, using Mingw or cygwin, running the debugger, etc.) and not
about a problem installing Eclipse, getting Eclipse to launch, setting
up projects, consuming library JARs, setting configuration, etc., you
will fare much better in the eclipse.cdt forum. Please see this sticky
post at the top of our forum:
