Dear Eclipse ESCET community,

When working with increasingly larger models comprised of multiple files the wish for extended editor functionality is starting to creep up. It would, for example, be convenient have navigation support like "Go to definition" and "Find usage" or support for code completion or support for renaming of identifiers (Basic refactoring).

As far as I understand such conveniency functionality is currently not supported. If this is correct, are there any plans to add such support to the CIF editor?

These features are indeed currently not implemented in the CIF text editor. There are no plans to add them as of yet, but if you have a feature request, you can always create an issue in the Eclipse ESCET GitLab. See https://eclipse.dev/escet/contact-and-support.html for more information.
