I want to reuse another ecore file in the ecore editor, but there is no way to load the resource. Using the Sample Ecore Model Editor I load the resource and can add fields, but that is not possible with the new editor. The loaded ETypes are not available. If I add an attribute over the sample ecore model editor, I don't see it in the diagram editor.

Is that feature not yet available, or I'm missing it somewhere?

It's available but maybe not where you expect it.

If you are in the context of a "Modeling Project" (your project have then a small "M" on the icon) you can right click on the "Project Dependencies" item and add another Ecore file (or type the complete URI)

If you are not using the "Modeling Project" then the same action is available right-clicking on the .aird file.
